Distinguished Senator Abba Patrick Moro, Sunday, recieved defectors from All Progressive Congress, APC, and other parties to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ugbokolo, Okpokwu Local Government Area.
Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Mr Frank Ocheka, who led them, said their defection was a ‘home-coming’ for them. He said it was not morally right to be in the opposition to a working Senator as Comrade Abba Moro in Okpokwu and Benue South at large. He said they joined the party with so much enthusiasm and determination to contribute greatly to the success of the party at all levels, especially in Benue South.
In his speech, Senator Moro said it was an honor to have the defectors in the PDP, the party of the people. He said the umbrella was big and wide enough to accommodate all of them. He charged them to contribute their quota to the success of the party, promising that the party would not descriminate against them but treat them equally as the old members.
