Serie A manager Siniša Mihajlović has been sacked by Bologna failing to win his last game in-charge against Spezia. The Italian side drew 2-2 against Spezia in Mihajlović’s last game with previous performance this season also adding to the reasons which led to his sack.
The Rossoblu have earned three points in five Serie A games so far this season and are one of the six clubs without victories in 2022-23.
Mihajlovic was appointed as Bologna coach for the first time in 2008 and returned to the club in 2019, months before the first leukaemia diagnosis. He won 43 of his 130 games in charge of the Rossoblu.
Sky Sport Italia report Mihajlovic is no longer the Rossoblu cach. The former defender is still battling against leukaemia which was diagnosed for the second time in less than three years in March.
According to Sky Sport, Thiago Motta is the leading candidate to take over at the Stadio Dall’Ara with Claudio Ranieri and Roberto De Zerbi are being mentioned as possible replacements too.
