Several students kidnapped as gunmen attack Kaduna varsity

Many students of students of Green Field University in Kaduna State have been kidnapped following a bandits’ attack on the institution.

It was gathered that the incident happened on Tuesday night.

The attack on the private varsity is located along the Kaduna–Abuja Highway in Chikun Local Government Area, is the first major attack that bandits will launch on communities around the Kaduna-Abuja Highway since 300 female soldiers were deployed to the general area in January this year.

Mr. Samuel Aruwan, the state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, confirmed the incident to newsmen.

Green Field University is the first private university in the state established about three years ago.
