Singer Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, recently hailed renowned rapper Olamide as the king of Nigerian street music.
In an interview with Naija FM, Shallipopi shared that he featured Olamide on his track “Order” due to Olamide’s deep-rooted popularity within the street music scene. “Baddo [Olamide] is the father and king of Nigerian street music. So I had to feature him on ‘Order’ because it is a street song, and Olamide owns the street,” he explained.
During the same interview, Shallipopi also confirmed that he has parted ways with Dapper Music. He clarified that his departure came after his contract expired and dismissed rumors of any conflict with his former label, affirming they remain on good terms.
