Senator Shehu Sani has advised Governor Nyesom Wike and former governor Ayodele Fayose to bury their hatchets or take suicidal revenge,in response to their anger on the concluded PDP presidential primary election.
Newsonline reports that Senator Sani stated that the two options before those still bitter with the outcome of the primaries are to bury the hatchet and work for the success of their party or take suicidal revenge and work for the other party.
Senator Sani further advised Nyesom Wike and Ayodele Fayose to ‘ either forgive the Devil they know or hug the Devil they don’t know.”
Sani said, “The options before those still bitter with the outcome of the primaries are; to bury the hatchet and work for the success of their party or take suicidal revenge and work for the other party.
“They either forgive the Devil they know or hug the Devil they don’t know.”
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential primary produced Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate defeating Governor Wike of Rivers State.
Hell however let lose when against the decisions of the PDP governors, Atiku chose the governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, as running mate against Wike, the governors’ candidate.
The two perceived wrongs of the PDP giving their presidential candidate to a Northerner against the popular demand for a Southern candidate, and Atiku’s decision to choose Okowa as against Wike, the governors’ choice, broke the camel’s back in the PDP.
Expressing his disappointment with the PDP National Working Committee, NWC, on Wednesday, Ayodele Fayose, former governor of Ekiti State remained resolute that he will only back a southern candidate come 2023 general election.
