Former Kogi State Senator Dino Melaye has revealed the reason behind his absence at Shiloh 2024, the annual event organized by the Living Faith Church Worldwide.
In a social media post, Melaye expressed displeasure over the absence of Bishop David Abioye, a key figure in the church, and criticized his retirement.
Melaye questioned the church’s leadership structure, particularly why Bishop David Oyedepo, who is older, remains in leadership while the younger Bishop Abioye has been retired.
“I did not attend Shiloh 2024 because Shiloh without Bishop Abioye is somehow. I can’t understand why Bishop Oyedepo, who is older, is not retired, and it is Bishop Abioye, who is younger, that should be forcefully retired,” Melaye wrote.
He alleged that the decision was man-made rather than divine, adding, “God did not retire Abioye, only Oyedepo did. Let’s watch.”
The Winners’ family worldwide held Shiloh 2024 from December 10 to 15, as reported by Naija News. In response to criticism, Bishop Oyedepo has urged the public to respect the church’s decisions regarding pastoral retirements.
