Business operators and locals are currently battling to put out a fire ravaging the Nguru main market in Yobe State.
The immediate course of the inferno has not been ascertained at the time of this report.
A member representing Nguru Central at the Yobe State House of Assembly, Lawan Sani Inuwa confirmed the incident in a post on his verified Facebook page.
“Verily we belong to God, and verily to Him, we shall all return. Fire outbreak at Nguru Main Market”, he posted.
In the post, the lawmakers commiserated with affected traders.
