Former Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), North-East Zone, Rev. Dr. Shuaibu Byal is dead.
It was gathered that Byal, who was Rector, ECWA Theological College, Bayara, Bauchi State, died on Friday evening at age 63.
He was said to have slumped due to cardiac arrest and was rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
Confirming the death in an interview with newsmen on Saturday, the state CAN Chairman, Rev. Abraham Damina, described the death of Byal as “shocking” and a great loss, not only to CAN but to Christendom and the nation at large.
