Two female Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) officials were tragically struck by a vehicle on Monday in the vicinity of Charlie Boy, heading towards Gbagada, Lagos State.
According to an eyewitness named Sodiq, who spoke to our correspondent via phone, the yet-to-be-identified women lost their lives at the scene.
Sodiq described the incident as a horrific accident, stating that the two LAWMA workers were hit by a Sienna vehicle while performing their duties.
“The driver seemed to have veered off course and collided with the two women. It’s truly regrettable,” Sodiq recounted. “The driver has been apprehended and handed over to the authorities.”
