At least six unidentified passengers narrowly escaped death in a multiple-vehicle collision on Wednesday opposite the OPIC Estate community in the Isheri Olofin area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The crash involved four vehicles: an unregistered diesel truck, a Yutong luxury bus (registration number KPP 921 ZW), a Ford bus (registration number EPE 365 YD), and another Ford bus (registration number KGW 13 XA).

According to a police source, who requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media, the accident was caused by the diesel truck losing control, swerving, and colliding with three vehicles stuck in traffic.

Remarkably, all passengers survived, though two were seriously injured. Good Samaritans and police rushed the injured to the Lagos State Emergency Clinic at Old Tollgate, Ojota, where they are receiving treatment.

Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident, stating no lives were lost. She noted that police officers in the area assisted in rescuing the injured victims, who are now responding to treatment.
