Benard Adedeji Ossai, the Nigerian skits maker widely known as Ben Cash, has revealed that his foray into skit creation brought about a transformative change in his life. In a conversation with a journalist, he discussed the choice of comedy over a professional career in law or politics, as initially planned by his parents.
Ben Cash emphasized that he believes his financial success through skit creation surpasses what he might have achieved in other fields.
“Skits making turned my life around for good. Through skits, I have earned substantial income, gained recognition, and acquired assets. Although my parents had hoped I’d pursue a career in law or politics, which are honorable paths, I don’t think I would have achieved the same level of success. Beyond fame and wealth, I’m living my dream because this is what I’ve always loved and wanted to do. Despite the numerous challenges I faced to reach this point, all is well now,” he stated.
Ben Cash, known for his comedic videos and skits, embarked on his comedy journey in 2013 as a member of the Sirbalo Comedy Clinic group. In 2016, he won the Indomie BelleFull Comedy Challenge 2.0 and has since become one of Nigeria’s prominent content creators.
“Acting has always been my dream, and with the support of my friend Sirbalo, we established the Sirbalo Comedy Clinic group. This marked the beginning of our skit production journey,” he shared.
