SLA: PDP asked to suspend Hassan Saleh for anti-party activities

A pro-democracy group, Benue South PDP Youths Frontier, has called for the immediate suspension of Hassan Saleh, former lawmaker respecting Ado, Okpokwu and Ogbadibo Federal Constituency for alleged anti-party activities.

The call for the suspension of Saleh, according to the group, became imperative following his alleged romance with the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Recall that the former lawmaker, who is now eyeing Benue South Senatorial seat, has come under fire after announcing his resignation as a Senior Legislative Aide to his former colleague, Femi Gbajabiamila, who is now the Speaker of the Green Chamber.

Gbajabiamila is a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Saleh, had in the letter posted on his Facebook wall, said the reason for his resignation was to allow him focus on his senatorial ambition.

This, however, did not go down well with some members of the PDP, especially the youths, who strongly frowned at his romance with the APC while still pursuing a senatorial ambition on the platform of the PDP.

Saleh, a native of Otukpa, had since pulled down the post from his Facebook wall.

Reacting, however, the youth group described Saleh as Judas of PDP sent by the APC to destabilize the umbrella party.

The group, in a statement signed by its President, Peter Agada, called, on leadership of the party to immediately suspend Saleh.

The group said Saleh cannot eat his cake and have it, saying his heart left the PDP since 2014 when the people of Enone rejected him and he sneaked into the green chamber through the court.

The statement warned that Saleh is a rotten tooth in the people, who must be pulled out immediately.

“The attention of this hallowed group was drawn to a letter authored by Saleh and addressed to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, announcing his resignation as the Speaker’s Senior Legislative Aide.

“This further confirms our statement before now that Saleh was a mole planted by the All Progressives Congress to destabilize the PDP in Benue South.

“This has also further confirmed our worries earlier that Saleh is still a card carrying member of the APC, hence his appointment by an APC lawmaker as a Senior Legislative Aide.

“As it is said, a man cannot eat his cake and have it, Saleh must be suspended from the PDP with immediate effect.

“We members of Benue South PDP Youths Frontier call for the immediate suspension of Hassan Anthony Saleh from the party for his anti-party activities.

“He carries broom at night but holds the umbrella in the daytime.

“We the Benue South Youths Frontier believe that it is better to be Oriko or Oko but Saleh is now Okoriko, thereby making it difficult for us to know where he belongs.”
