Hon. Solomon Aboh, business honcho, on the first and primary instance, and by symbiotic extension, a community builder, a philanthropist and politician of the pure breed of pristine humanity.
The Idoma adage that a chick that will grow into a big cock is known from the day it was hatched, is particularly true about Hon. Solomon Aboh, the current Executive Vice Chairman of Ado Local Government Area of Benue State.
His birth date is symbolic. He was born on February 5, 1969, a year before the civil war ended, in the red dust city of Otukpo.
Research shows that February 5, a date classified as Aquarius, the eleventh sign of the Zodiac is a special date for visionary leaders and problem solvers.
Indeed, Hon. Solomon Aboh is a leader from birth.
His life reminds one of his biblical namesake; King Solomon, whose records of sagacity and humility have (cannot) not been matched.
He has a guiding mantra that says; a man is not rich until he has contributed immensely to communal development and enhanced the living conditions of the disadvantaged.
That is why he has dedicated his life to serving the people at the grassroots.
It is common to find a man that is blessed, but uncommon to find same that is down to earth.
Hon. Solomon Aboh, the number 2 citizen of Ado is a leader whose humility and loyalty speak volume. A trailblazer, steadfast administrator and a corporate Field Marshal.
His willful approach and passion to achieve what he sets out to do are so remarkable and truly inspirational.
Young Aboh attended the St. Andrews Primary, School Otukpo from 1974 to 1979.
He then proceeded to the Methodist High School, Igumale, for his secondary education from 1979 to 1984.
In his quest for tertiary knowledge, Aboh proceeded to the Lagos City Polytechnic, where he bagged an HND in Business Administration and Management. He also obtained a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and Management from the prestigious Nasarawa State University.
Over the years he has shown great character and wisdom in his participation in the murky waters of Benue politics.
His passion to lead his people made him to throw his political hat into the ring in 2012, where he ran for the office of the chairman of Ado LG.
Although, he didn’t clinch the seat then, he never stopped reaching out to the people at the grassroots.
Hon. Aboh has put smiles on the faces of his people, especially the widows and orphans through his Non-Governmental Organisation, NGO, Path of Hope Foundation, a platform that has used to give hope to the hopeless.
No doubt, he is a corporate Field Marshal that has attained greatness through personal efforts underscored by clarity of vision, strong determination and rare perseverance.
His exemplary success in almost all spheres is a testament to the fact that he is a natural born-leader.
That is why all his business ventures have continued to flourish like trees planted by the riverside.
Despite his busy schedules, his businesses: SOLAB Travels, Global Parks Ltd and Self-Made Integrated Services Ltd have continued to blossom.
He is a leader that strongly proves that charity begins at home. His peaceful marriage of more than two decades to his lovely wife, Mrs. Mercy Aboh, is a testimony to his effective deployment of the general skills of leadership and interpersonal effectiveness maritally.
Beyond the issue of humility and integrity, he is exceptionally assiduous. This was further corroborated in an awe-inspiring birthday tribute by his long-time friend who he’s now deputizing at Ado local council, Hon. James Ogaba Oche.
Hon. Oche described the Birthday Boy as a “burden lifter.”
He said, “Solo 1, as he is largely known and addressed by Ado’s teeming and beloved populace is an astute politician, a steadfast administrator, a kind and compassionate leader whose dexterity remains topnotch and whose competence remains undeterred.”
52 cheers to this consummate politician at 52.
