Solomon Agidani buried amid tears in Obagaji, Benue

The final rites for Engr Solomon Agidani, the dedicated three-term House of Representatives Member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency, unfolded on Saturday, August 13, 2023. The somber occasion saw the late Agidani being laid to rest amidst a backdrop of sorrow, shedding of tears, and profound emotional expressions from family, friends, political comrades, well-wishers, and mourners from diverse walks of life.

The interment took place at his residence in Obagaji, the headquarters of Agatu Local Government. The ceremony followed a poignant Funeral Service, officiated by the Methodist Church Nigeria.

During both the requiem service and the interment, a sea of attendees including family members and esteemed dignitaries found it difficult to contain their emotions. Tearful tributes flowed incessantly as individuals took turns to pay homage to the late Rt. Hon Agidani.

Prominent personalities present at the solemn event included: the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Dr. George Akume ably represented by Barr Ochijele, Deputy Governor of Benue State, represented by his Chief Of Staff, Hon Musa Ujor Suleiman, immediate past Deputy Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Engr Benson Abounu, Benue State PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate in the 2023 General Elections, His Excellency, Sir John Ngbede, Tobe Osinbajo, son to the immediate past Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency in the 10th National Assembly, Chairman, House Standing Committee on Inland Waterways and son-in-law to the deceased, Hon. Pst Ojotu Ojema, immediate past House of Reps Member representing Enone Federal Constituency and House Committee Chairman on Drugs and Narcotics, Hon Francis Ottah Agbo, 2-term Member representing Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency, Hon Ezekiel Awulu Adaji, immediate past 3-term House of Reps Member representing Oju/Obi Federal Constituency, Rt Hon Samson Okwu, PDP House of Reps Candidate for Otukpo/Ohimini in the last election, Hon Alex Enokela Ogbe (Ochacho Jr), Hon Abba Abah Mad Lion, a Humanitarian and Philanthropist, Abba Adaudu, the Agaba’AnyaK’Idoma, Her Royal Majesty, Chief. Mrs Martha Omabo Elaigwu, Members representing Agatu, Apa, Akoka/Ugboju, Ohimini, Okpokwu State Constituencies, Rt. Hon Godwin Abu Edoh , Rt. Hon Abu James Umoru, Rt. The loss of Engr Solomon Agidani reverberated throughout this commemorative event, bringing together a multitude of individuals who shared in the collective sorrow and reflection on his impactful life.
