Rt. Hon. Solomon Onah the newly appointed General Manager, Benue State Environmental Sanitation Agency (BENSESA), Wednesday, 24th July, 2019 dedicated his office to God. The dedication was done by the parish priest of Catholic Youth Center, Makurdi, Rev. fr Shima Benjamin Ikpanya at the agency head office in the presence of management, staff and wellwishers.
Speaking during the dedication by the cleric, the GM stated “as a Christian i want to put God first in my service to this agency and to the people of Benue state. I want to queue into His Excellency Gov. Samuel Ortom’s character of always putting God first and God has always seen him through, as he always succeeds in all things. I am aware that with God all things are possible. I implore you to carry God in all the decisions you take and that nothing God cannot do.”
He maintained “Cleanliness is next to Godliness and I am determined to keep Makurdi and its environs clean.”
He further stated that “am aware of the complaint from the people about the dirtiness of Makurdi and other part of the state and am aware the Governor reposed so much confidence in me to give Makurdi a total facelift. Having dedicated the office to God am energized to embark on the task.”
The cleric prayed with the New GM and staff, immersing the whole agency in to God’s guidance and support. He said “Jesus showed us the dignity of labour. He was known as the carpenter’s son and he willingly worked with his tools of his trade. The labour of our hands will bring God’s blessing upon the state.” He further enjoined them to work for the common good and find joy in contributing to the progress of the state.
He also prayed that the newly appointed GM’s time will be the best ever in the agency because he came through God’s approval.
