Sonny Echono: What you need know about the new TETFUND Executive Secretary

As permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mr Sunny S.T. Echono is one of the sons of Idoma in public office who are acquitting themselves well.

Not only is he discharging his responsibility with competence, but he is also equally affecting the lives of his people positively. Echono in the course of his career has created multiple opportunities for the Idoma, ranging from facilitating local and international scholarships for Idoma students, assisting in the employment of youths into various MDAs, and enhancing the appointment of Nigerians of Idoma extraction as board members, chairman of federal boards, heads of agencies.

He also has a hand in the facilitation of infrastructural projects across Idomaland.

For example, he played a pivotal role in the birth of the Federal University of Health Sciences Otukpo and Federal College of Education, Odugbo, Apa.
