Stan Alieke, the lawyer representing embattled Nigerian singer Speed Darlington, has challenged Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy to arrest celebrity barman Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chiefpriest, for referencing the controversial affair between Burna Boy and American singer Diddy.
IDOMA VOICE reported that Cubana Chiefpriest and Burna Boy have been embroiled in a heated social media argument. In one of his posts, Chiefpriest accused Burna Boy of “bending down” to win a Grammy, a similar statement that led to Speed Darlington’s arrest.
In response, Darlington’s lawyer, Stan Alieke, took to his Instagram story, urging Burna Boy to prove he is not a coward by arresting Chiefpriest, as he did with his client for making similar comments. Alieke wrote, “Your petition claims that the Diddy and baby oil banter has caused ‘irreparable damage to your international reputation and has made you lose a lot of gigs.’
“Well, another person with more reach just referenced the same banter, so the world expects you to engage the police and arrest him, since that’s your modus operandi. Otherwise, the street will interpret it as cowardice.”
Alieke concluded, “I’m just a lawyer who wants justice to go around.”
