Sporting Lagos head coach, Paul Offor has encouraged the club supporters to show sportsmanship at all times.
Offor challenged the supporters to stand behind the team during bad and good times.
Sporting Lagos was sanctioned by the Nigeria Premier Football League board for a security breach during the matchday nine encounter against Heartland.
The club’s supporters threw objects on the field during the game at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
Sporting Lagos were fined N1m by the Nigeria Premier Football League disciplinary body for their supporters’ action.
“The club fans need to behave when the game is not going in our favour,” he stated after the game.
“That’s the league we are clamouring for but at the end of the day when it happens in your home you turn against the player, you turn against the coaches.
“Then you are not ready for the growth we are asking for.”
