Spyro praises Nengi, says unborn child is ‘God’s gift’

Nigerian singer Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro, has spoken out in defense of former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate Nengi following her pregnancy confirmation.

Naija News reports that Nengi addressed the speculation after an Instagram blog, Gistlover, alleged she was expecting a child with a popular governor, with many linking Governor Douye Diri to the rumors.

Clarifying the situation, Nengi confirmed her pregnancy but dismissed claims that a governor was responsible, stating that the allegations were not only false but also affected people she deeply respects.

Reacting via Instagram on Tuesday, Spyro urged critics to stop the unwarranted scrutiny, emphasizing that the unborn child is a blessing.

“Honestly, y’all should please leave her alone and face your lives. That baby is of the Lord and a BIG gift. BEAUTIFUL IN AND OUT. Love always #Nengi,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Governor Douye Diri has denied any involvement, attributing the viral claims to political opponents trying to tarnish his reputation. His Director of New Media, Dr. Kola Oredipe, dismissed the allegations as baseless fabrications.
