Stop using Facebook to blackmail Idoma leaders – Lawmaker, Adam Okloho warns

The lawmaker representing Adoka/Ugboju at the Benue State House of Assembly, Hon (Evang). Barr. John Adam Okloho has called on social media users in Benue South against using the platforms to insult leaders in the community.

According to the soft-spoken lawmaker, social media should be an avenue for the promotion of Idoma culture and community instead of a tool to hue insults on its leaders.

In a Facebook post, the cleric-cum-politician called on active and vibrant users of the new media to stop blackmailing leaders on social media.
The lawmaker, who lamented that there is no viable higher institution in Idoma community, opined that Facebook is a good avenue to be used in campaigning for the establishment of Apa University.
His words, “Let Zone C legislators make Apa University a reality ,now that Apa State is not realizeable .IDOMA Nation needs a viable higher Institution to carter for our Educational needs. Let’s use Facebook productively in zone C and stop blackmailing our leaders for no just cause. Leadership is only for service. See Amb Dickson Akoh Changing Ugboju for good.”
