Controversial Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, is a free man once again after a recent encounter with the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) that resulted in his detention for several days.
Bobrisky was apprehended while attempting to leave the country through the Seme Border. This incident occurred amid an ongoing investigation into allegations of bribery involving officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) during his previous imprisonment for naira abuse.
Following his release, Bobrisky took to social media on October 29, 2024, to share a new photo and a motivational message.
In his Instagram post, he stated, “Strong women don’t play the victim. They don’t make themselves look pitiful and don’t point fingers. They stand and they deal.”
However, Bobrisky may soon face new criminal charges related to allegations that he served his prison sentence in a private residence and bribed EFCC officials to dismiss money laundering charges against him.
It’s worth noting that Bobrisky was sentenced to six months in prison on April 12 for naira abuse and was released on August 5.
