Sunday Igboho backs down from ejecting Fulani herdsmen from Yoruba land

Popular Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeniyi Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has backed down from his self-saddle task of ejecting killer herdsmen from the South-West.

The agitator in a recent interview with Yoruba journalist Mrs. Esabode, said he would no longer lead the fight to defend Yorubaland from criminals, bandits and killer herdsmen if others don’t rise up to support him.

The Yoruba freedom fighter lamented that his account has been frozen and he lost other valuable assests due to his activism.

IDOMA VOICE recalls that the activist’s house in Ibadan was set ablaze days after he issued a quit notice to Fulani herdsmen in Igbara area of Oyo State, blaming them for the incessant killings, kidnappind and other crimes in the State.

In the interview, Igboho, said the Federal government froze his bank account, but he was later informed that it was unfrozen, and his bank manager has told him he could now make withdrawals.

On the attack on Prof. Soyinka’s house, the activist said that two of those who attacked the prof’s house have been apprehended.

Mr. Igboho expressed disappointment on the leaders he claimed have not done good justice to the invasion of the Fulani-herdsmen on Yoruba soil.

He further explains that nowhere is safe again for anyone, that even Nigerians in the diaspora cannot come home because of the insecurity that is taken over the country.

He concluded by saying;”I’ve played my part; I’m not leading anything anymore if others don’t rise up. If they rise up, I will follow them. Others must stand up to do the needful.”
