Nigeria’s Super Eagles have slipped two spots in the most recent FIFA men’s ranking.
The three-time African champions now find themselves in the 30th position, down from their previous standing at 28th.
Last month, the Super Eagles participated in two friendly matches. They secured a victory against long-standing rivals Ghana with a score of 2-1 but suffered a defeat of 2-0 against the Eagles of Mali.
In the African rankings, the Super Eagles continue to hold the third position, trailing behind the Atlas Lions of Morocco and the Terangha Lions of Senegal.
Completing the top five teams on the continent are the Pharaohs of Egypt and the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire.
