Super Eagles must start 2030 World Cup preparations now — Akor Adams
Akor Adams, striker for Sevilla FC, has stressed the need for the Super Eagles to begin early preparations for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
Nigeria missed out on the 2022 FIFA World Cup after a playoff defeat to arch-rivals Ghana national football team.
The three-time African champions will also be absent from the upcoming global tournament co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, following a penalty shootout loss to the DR Congo national football team in the African playoffs under head coach Eric Chelle.
Adams maintained that preparations must begin immediately if Nigeria is to secure a return to the global stage in 2030.
“The preparation starts now. It starts every day leading up to the 2030 World Cup,” he said.
