Super Eagles rise in latest FIFA ranking despite World Cup fallout

Despite dropping in their ranking to 20th in the world, 2021 AFCON champion Senegal is the best team in Africa, while Morocco ranked 24th is the second-best team in Africa.

Meanwhile, having already spent the longest time at the top of the FIFA Ranking (4,731 days), Brazil returned to the summit in March 2022, five years after they were last there.
