Susan Okpe: Please allow alleged Benue COVID-19 index case to heal from her emotional trauma – Imelda J begs Nigerians

By Imelda Jane Okwori

I am seeing some write-ups on some people’s wall asking people that had contact with the alleged Benue index case to turn themselves in.

After the government made their point clear, i had expected everyone to accept things the way they are even if they are not satisfied, without trying to raise unnecessary dust while we await to hear from the victim herself. Be it true or false, one day, no matter how long, the truth will unfold itself.

But reverse is the case.

  1. The government said they announced her name because they wanted all her contacts to present themselves. Have they?

  1. It was also alleged that some of her contacts were quarantined.

  1. Till date, none of the said contacts have fallen sick or died? Not even her family members?

  1. None of her contacts have tested positive?

  1. How about the hospital she first visited? Not even one person tested positive?

6.Benue type of covid19 must be wearing rapper oh…

7.Must we record Covid19 in Benue?

8.Shouldn’t we be happy that our people are all healthy and free from Covid19?

  1. Stop spreading panic. Instead, Use your energy to enlighten people about the Covid19 virus.

The most important thing now is to ensure Benue boarders are safe.

No interstate travel should be encouraged for now hence we don’t have any victim till now.

To all those posters, it is indeed shameful that out of desperation, some people are beginning to loose their ways of reasoning and sanity.

You are asking people to turn themselves in after 16 days or more?

How do we even reason?

How low can we go?

All this write ups, are you trying to solve the problem or create one? On a normal day, i would have looked and pass but i am writing this because many will be mislead by such write ups.

That some of us refused to say anything since the government made the final announcement that she is positive does not mean we don’t have some questions crying for answers. Personally, i feel she needs our prayers now more than ever before.

The reason we are where we are in Benue is nothing but eye service.

If you need money from politicians, ask for it directly. Don’t try to pull another down. The Era of ass kissing should be gone already. Eye service for politician no be job. They will use and dump you.

Enough of all this yen yen yen write ups. If you have issue with anyone, be bold enough to call out the person.

Don’t be used as an errand boy by some ogas.

Do not hide under Benue index case to maliciously fight anyone.

Allow the victim to heal both emotionally and otherwise.

Grow up and face your business.

There is life after Covid19.

Tomorrow get belle.

We all need each other.

Please and please, we should be our brothers keepers. We are stronger together?

Stay safe, stay at home.

Covid19 is real.

Let’s be guided.

Thanks.
