Suspected herdsmen attack Agatu community, kill farmer

Suspected herdsmen have attacked Ayele community in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State, killing a man identified as Aminu Shaibu.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that the incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. on Friday while the victim was reportedly working on his farm.

Sources in the community said Shaibu was planting yam seedlings when the attackers struck, leaving him dead.

Details of the attack remain sketchy as at the time of filing this report, while there has been no official statement from security authorities.
