Before the commencement of the general election, one needed no soothsayer to tell him that Benue State was fall to the APC.
From result gathered so far from across the 23 local governments in the state, the All Progressive Congress is having a good time, this is courtesy of the governor’s refusal to pay his workers salaries.

In fact, some Benue workers have publicly come out to explain why the APC will win in the state.

The state workers have insisted that there is no need voting the ruling PDP even as it is the leading party in the state.
They said the party had caused the non-payment of their salaries for several months.

Recall that the Benue state government led by Governor Gabriel Suswam has not paid salaries of workers for months, including that of academic and non-academic staff of tertiary institutions in the state that are currently on strike.
