Suswam praises Ortom

The immediate past governor of Benue State, Dr Gabriel Suswam,  has commended his successor, Samuel Ortom, for his resolve to complete the roads he started particularly, the Zak-Biam-Afia-Gbeji road.
Dr Suswam made the commendation at the funeral  ceremony of Mama Nguyum Mue, mother of Legal Adviser of the Makarfi-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Benue State, Barr Tera Mue at Tse Gbayier, Mbakyaha, Tsaav in Ukum local government area.

According to the former governor, the development was an indication that government was a continuous process and urged Governor Ortom to sustain the efforts.
Prominent folksinger in Ukum local government area, Mr Pevikyaa Zege also gave Governor Ortom a pat on the back for continuing with projects started by his predecessor.
Zegi said  “if  previous administrations had demonstrated similar gesture, the state would have gone further in development”.
He disclosed that his  career as a folksingger, which started in 1964 has been marked by an expression of the aspirations of the people of his area for the provision of critical infrastructure especially roads, portable water and electricity.
It was gathered that the Ortom’s administration has invested the N10 billion facility obtained from the federal government in 2016 in the resumption of construction work on eleven roads started by the previous administration and two new ones initiated by the present one.
The Zaki-Biam-gbeji-Afia road being constructed by Dantata and Sawoe is at the final stage of its completion.
