In what looks like a sweet reunion for two political rivals, David Mark and his kinsman, George Akume, both senators from Benue State were caught exchanging sweet pleasantries at the senate plenary on Thursday amid laughter.
Garbed in a flowing traditional attire and a Tiv traditional cap to match, Akume walked up to his fellow senator, Mark who represents Benue South for a handshake.
IDOMA VOICE reports that Mark, who served as senate president for eight years was spotted donning a black suit without delay returned the handshake and both had few minutes of discussion after the business of the day.

Recall that the duo engaged each other in war of words over the February 20 rerun election in Benue State where Akume was accused of sponsoring Mark’s challenger, Daniel Onjeh of the All Progressives Congress.
A source hinted us that both senators had since buried the hatchet since Mark was declared winner by the Court of Appeal few months ago.
