Taraba lecturer Umar Buba regains freedom after 4 nights in captivity

Umar Buba, the Taraba state university lecturer who was abducted from staff residence of the institution has regained freedom after spending 4 nights in captivity.

Umar who was kidnapped in the early hours of Sunday May 30, was released in the early hours of Thursday June 3.

Channels Television reported that a family member confirmed his release, but could not reveal if a ransom was paid to secure his release or not.

His abduction and subsequent release makes it the third time that lecturers from the institution’s staff quarters will be kidnapped
