Gunmen have killed three herders in an attack on a settlement in Marraban Jos, Rigachikun, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who confirmed the incident in a statement, said many cows were rustled in the attack.
Aruwan identified the deceased as Ibrahim Abubakar and Abdullahi Maitashi and Umar Abbas.
He added that after he received the report of the tragic incident, Governor Nasir El-Rufai expressed sadness and commiserated with the herders’ families, as he prayed for the repose of their souls.
