Tension as gunmen kill young man in Okpoga, Benue State (Photos)

Tragedy struck in Okpokwu LGA of Benue State Wednesday night as a young man, Mr Okpeh Ameh from Ollo- Edumoga was shot dead in Aidogodo Okpoga.

IDOMA VOICE the late Okpeh had gone to visit his lady friend, Miss Pauline when was killed by some unknown gunmen.

The chairman of Okpokwu local government area, Hon Amina Audu, promptly responded to the tensed situation after visiting the spot of the incident.

She appealed for calm and vowed to fish out all criminal elements in local government. She said that her priority as a chairman remains the security of lives and property.

The chairman was accompanied by her vice Hon Musa Oji and Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) Hon Emmanuel Pronto Ameh.

As at the time of this report, the lady friend of the late Okpeh, Miss Pauline has been detained in the police custody, and the remains of Okpeh deposited in the mortuary in Okpoga. Security operatives have been drafted to the local government.
