Residence of Iluke community in Kabba Bunu local government area of Kogi, were thrown into panic on Wednesday, after some hoodlums suspected to be Fulani herdsmen invaded and burnt down the Government Secondary school in the area.
It was gathered the residents of the discovered that blocks of the classrooms was set on fire by some suspected fulani herdsmen.
The incident reportedly happened at around 3 P.M when the school had closed for the day.
Flames of inferno was said to have attracted the attention of the residents who rushed to the scene.
Efforts of the community to put out the flame was not successful as a handful of the classrooms were already razed down.
According to online reports, a source within the community confirm to news men that one of the Fulani herdsmen was arrested and handed over to the Kabba/Bunu Divisional Police Officer.
But, when contacted, the Kogi State Commissioner of Police, CP Ayuba Edeh, said he was yet to be brief by the Divisional Police Officer.
