Tension as unidentified dead body is found in Oju

A yet to be identified dead body of a man was discovered along Oju Makurdi road in Oju LGA of Benue state yesterday, 24/09/2020. The information was aired from 93.3 Agba Choice FM Radio House in Oju LGA Headquarter at about 10:30 am yesterday and repeatedly.

The corpse was found along the road just about a kilometreaway from College of Education Oju by a man who raised alarm that attracted many people to the scene. Immediately, the matter was reported to the Nigerian Police, Oju Divisional Headquarter. When the policemen arrived, the corpse was carefully observed to know whether he was killed by hit and run car, no sign of such was found on him. He also was searched to know if he has means of identification such as voter’s card or phone and nothing was found on him.

Later, his body was removed by policemen and deposited at mortuary within General Hospital in Oju town. And, a general announcement was made through 93.3 Agba Choice FM Oju, to any state resident with a case of missing person to come to General Hospital for possible identification and collection for autopsy or burial.
