There is currently palpable tension in Ai-Odu Owukpa following the murder of a young business man identified as Paul Ejembi.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that Ejembi, who based in Kaduna, was traced to his village in Ai-Odu by the unknown gunmen who set his car, a Toyota Corolla Sport ablaze after shooting him severally.
A resident of the community, who gave his name as Emma, told IDOMA VOICE that the deceased “came home for his step mother’s burial, which took place on the 22nd of this month.”
The source said, “After killing him around 1am on Sunday, they set him and his car on fire. It was a passerby who saw the incident and pulled him out of the burning car.
“He was immediately rushed to the hospital in Okpoga but could not make it before they got there.”
Until his death, Ejembi was a member of Idoma Spare Parts Dealers in Kaduna.
Another source said some police men came to the scene of the incident on investigation.
