Terrible accident killed 18 in Birninkudu, Jigawa

No fewer than 18 people have been killed in a road accident around Birninkudu Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, ASP Lawal Shisu confirmed the news to journalists on Wednesday.

He said the accident occurred around 6:30 am just 10 kilometers away from Birninkudu Local Government.

“At about 0630HRS close to FM radio before reaching Alu farms Birnin Kudu LGA, two busses had a head-on collision which resulted in an outbreak of fire among them, 12 people were burnt beyond recognition while six died instantly”.

He noted that the corpses of those that died have been deposited at Federal Medical Center Birninkudu.
