Terrorists make first attempt after threatening to kidnap Buhari, El-Rufai

There was a serious gun battle between the Presidential Guards Brigade and terrorists in Abuja on Monday.

It was gathered that three of the highly-trained officers suffered serious injuries as they were ambushed by the insurgents who were planning to attack the Nigerian Law School.

The signal seen by Nigerian Tribune confirmed that the troops were on a routine patrol along Kubwa–Bwari.

“Three soldiers were injured during the attack. The soldiers have been evacuated for medical attention.

“Details on the extent of their injuries are still under confirmation.

“The ambush happening within the general area of Bwari shows that the terrorists are actually within the location and possibly preparing to carry out their plans to attack the law school in Bwari as earlier reported”, it reads.

The Presidential Guards Brigade, an elite arm of the Nigerian Army, is responsible for protecting the President of Nigeria.
