Olofa Ina – Deji Aderemi
On Thursday, January 4, veteran Yoruba actor Deji Aderemi, known as Olofa Ina, passed away at the age of 73 in Lagos State. His battle with cancer came to an end, marking the loss of a talented thespian.

Ethel Ekpe
Ethel Ekpe, a veteran actress whose presence graced Nigerian screens for years, bid farewell on Wednesday, February 7, in Lagos State. Known for her role as ‘Segi’ in the iconic Nigerian Television Authority sitcom ‘Basi and Company,’ she succumbed to a long fight against cancer.

Sisi Quadri – Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji
The Yoruba Nollywood industry mourned the loss of Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, fondly known as Sisi Quadri, on March 1, at the age of 44. His colleagues shared heartfelt messages, remembering his contributions to the industry.

Mr. Ibu – John Okafor
Just a day after Sisi Quadri’s passing, the news of comedic actor John Okafor’s, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, demise surfaced. Renowned for his comedic prowess, Mr. Ibu’s death at 62 left fans and colleagues in mourning. Nigerians will forever cherish his comedic talent and resilience in the face of personal challenges.

Amaechi Muonagor
Three weeks later, the industry bid farewell to another veteran actor, Amaechi Muonagor, on Sunday, March 24, after his battle with kidney disease. Known for his role in films like ‘Aki and Paw Paw,’ Muonagor’s plea for financial assistance to undergo a kidney transplant touched many hearts.

Aderounmu Adejumoke
Nollywood lost Adejumoke Oreoluwa Aderounmu, acclaimed for her role as ‘Esther’ in the popular TV series ‘Jenifa’s Diary,’ on Sunday, March 7. Her brother, Adeola Aderounmu, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, marking the end of a promising career.

Junior Pope Odonwodo
