The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced the re-appointment of Manu Garba as the head coach of the country’s U-17 team, the Golden Eaglets on Friday.
Garba, who led the Golden Eaglets to victory in the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2013, returns to his former position.
The former Nigeria international will immediately assume his duties and oversee the team’s preparations for the upcoming WAFU B U-17 Championship in Ghana, scheduled for next month.
This tournament serves as a qualifier for the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.
In the previous edition of the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations hosted by Algeria, the Golden Eaglets were eliminated in the quarter-final stage.
