The sorry state of Auke Police Station in Apa, Benue State (Photos)

Auke ward in Apa local government area of Benue state is the most second largest ward in the local government area, a border community between Kogi and Benue state has been on the news from one form of social neglects or the other.
Despite the high rate of kidnapping and wantom killings spareheaded by marauding fulani herdsmen, Auke was shielded from attack by divine providence despite fact that; they are prune to attack due to absense of Government security presence.
From bad road network to lack of electricity, to lack of portable drinking water.
Auke community is one of the neglected community in zone c, Benue state.
Security which every state Governor with security conciousness is taken serious, in Auke it’s been treated with levity by authorities concern.
The pictures you are seeing is that of a neglected police station built by the community and abandoned by the Benue state Police command.
The effort of the community is a sign that, it a police loving community but for lack of funds, the poor Peasant farmers could not go beyond their reach of puting up a befiting structure.

For the sake of present day cases of banditary, rape, communal crises and many more across the country there is urgent need for a formidable police station in Auke for effective community policing.The police station you see was covering six community, this is a community that have produced two time chairman for the local government ( Apa local government) and a good number of academic professors whose impact is yet to be felt in community development.
Auke police station has no operational vehicle,
Survived by one personel without arm and was later deserted for lack of social attention.
The last time we visited the police station, we discovered that; the only officer left to man the station was transfered for only God knows reason by the area commander leaving the community without government security presence.
When crime cases surfaces, who will the community run to. A community with over 3000 population.
#Proponentofgoodgovernance therefore call on the state Governor, the local government chairman, the state house of Assembly member representing Apa state constituency, the federal house of assembly member representing Apa-Agatu federal constituency.
All the four academic professor’s produced by the ward to raise up to reality. Auke has no government security and crime rate is on the increase.
