Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy, born Damini Ogulu, has responded to the release of Speed Darlington from Kuje prison.
Speed Darlington, whose real name is Darlington Achakpo, was arrested after accusing Burna Boy of having an inappropriate relationship with American rapper Diddy.
Weeks after being granted bail, he was released on Tuesday, as confirmed by his lawyer, Stan Alieke.
In an Instagram post, Alieke criticized Darlington’s detention, calling it illegal and a violation of his fundamental human rights. He also vowed to pursue justice, thanking those who supported Darlington during his incarceration.
Reacting to the news, Burna Boy issued a warning to Darlington via Instagram, writing, “If you like misbehave again, you’ll go back to where you come from! And this time around, there will be no mercy! Don’t m*ss with ODG.”
