A survivor of a tragic collision involving a commercial bus and a truck in Lagos, Arigbabu Samuel, has shared a chilling account of his near-death experience. The incident, which transpired at Gbagada near Charlie Boy Bus Stop on Saturday night, resulted in three fatalities, with 15 others sustaining various degrees of injuries.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed the accident on Sunday, as stated by the agency’s Permanent Secretary, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu. According to LASEMA, the harrowing incident unfolded when a white 18-passenger commercial bus, bearing the registration number JJJ-844YA, lost control and collided with a moving truck.
Upon receiving a distress call at 10.01 pm, LASEMA promptly initiated the Lagos State Emergency Response Plans, with their response team arriving at the scene just 16 minutes later.
