Three teenagers nabbed for burglary, theft by Ekiti Amotekun
The Ekiti State Amotekun Corps has apprehended three teenagers for their involvement in burglary and theft.
The suspects, identified as 18-year-old Adekunle Yinka, 17-year-old Babatunde Japheth, and 16-year-old Sunday Taiwo, all residents of Omuo-Ekiti, were caught breaking into shops belonging to an Igbo resident in the town.
According to a statement from the Head of the Amotekun Corps Communications Department, Officer Adeleye Abiodun Adewale, the teenagers were discovered in the act by Amotekun operatives during a routine patrol in the Ekiti East Local Government Area.
Several stolen items were recovered from the suspects at the scene.
The three teenagers, along with the recovered items, have been handed over to the Omuo-Ekiti Police Division for further investigation.
