Samson Tijani, the former captain of the Golden Eaglets, has secured a one-season loan move to Wolfsberger AC, a club in the Austrian Bundesliga.
Tijani, who faced the entirety of the past season on the sidelines due to injury, is set to spend the entirety of the 2023/24 season away from his parent club, Red Bull Salzburg, as he endeavors to regain his peak performance.
Initially joining Red Bull Salzburg in 2020, the 21-year-old midfielder was subsequently loaned to their affiliated club, Liefering. During this time, he managed to make 18 appearances for Liefering.
Further progressing in his career, Tijani was temporarily loaned to TSV Egger Glas Hartberg, where he featured in 16 matches. In contrast, his appearances for Red Bull Salzburg have been limited, amounting to only five outings.
