Police have issued an update regarding the shocking arrest of a Nigerian gospel singer, Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, who was caught with the severed head of his girlfriend, Salome Eleojo Adaidu in Agwan Sarki, Orozo.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the suspect’s apprehension but clarified that the crime occurred in Nasarawa State, not within the FCT.
Adeh urged the public to ensure accurate dissemination of reports surrounding the incident, emphasizing the importance of proper information to avoid misrepresentation.
Ajayi, who is also alleged to be a ‘Yahoo boy,’ was arrested after a tip-off led authorities to an uncompleted building where the crime took place. Community members, shocked by the incident, shared a viral video of the confrontation in which the suspect admitted to the act.
The case has stirred widespread outrage, with residents calling for swift justice.
