Tinubu addresses Super Eagles ahead of AFCON quarter-final vs Angola

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has provided words of encouragement to the Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles, as they gear up for their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) quarter-final match against Angola. The message was conveyed through a video call posted on Instagram by his son, Seyi Tinubu.

While on a private visit to France, President Tinubu spoke directly to the team, expressing his support and encouragement for their upcoming clash. The Super Eagles secured a notable 2-0 victory over Cameroon in the Round of 16, setting the stage for the quarter-final encounter.

The winner of the match between Nigeria and Angola will advance to the semi-final and face the winner of the clash between Cape Verde and South Africa. The AFCON 2023 tournament, which commenced on January 13, is scheduled to run until February 11.
