President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the conversion of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital in Lafia to the Federal University of Lafia Teaching Hospital, Nasarawa, following a request from the Nasarawa State Government.
Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, stated that this change will enhance medical training and improve healthcare delivery in the state.
The statement highlighted President Tinubu’s commitment to advancing healthcare and social welfare in Nigeria, emphasizing his administration’s continued investment in the sector.
Recall that in November 2023, the Nasarawa State House of Assembly expressed dissatisfaction with the hospital’s management, led by Dr. Hassan Ikrama, due to budget overruns.
