President Bola Tinubu has arrived at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, for an official visit to the state.
The President landed aboard the Nigeria Air Force Airbus A330 at approximately 1:22 PM.
During his visit, President Tinubu is expected to commission the Enugu International Conference Center, built by Governor Peter Mbah.
He will also inaugurate several other projects, including 30 completed and equipped Enugu Smart Green Schools out of 260 under construction across the state’s 260 wards, and 60 completed and equipped Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres out of the same number under construction.
The President will further commission the completed multi-auditorium and multi-functional Enugu International Conference Centre, 90 completed urban roads in Enugu City, a state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre, and 150 patrol vehicles equipped with AI-embedded surveillance cameras.
The statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, noted that the President would also commission some of the completed rural roads during the one-day visit.
President Tinubu was received at the airport by prominent dignitaries, including the governors of Enugu, Imo, and Abia States, the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, oil magnate Arthur Ezeh, and other notable figures.
