The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has stated that President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his position amidst the suspension saga.
Ganduje made this revelation while addressing APC stakeholders from Kano State.
In a viral video, the APC National Chairman alleged that the Kano State Government was behind the attempt to oust him.
“I had a meeting with the President, and he assured me that my position as APC Chairman, which the Kano State Government sought to revoke, will remain unchanged.
“He has reaffirmed my role as the APC National Chairman,” Ganduje asserted.
On Monday, the APC Legal Adviser in Dawakin ward, Tofa LGA of Kano, Haliru Gwanzo, had suspended Ganduje on allegations of corruption.
However, Ganduje’s suspension was overturned, and those responsible were themselves suspended for six months.
Meanwhile, a High Court in Kano has upheld the suspension of Ganduje.
